We are a small workshop of specialist craftsmen who turn wood and epoxy resin into one-of-a-kind bespoke resin tables. Each river table, bar top and piece of tableware we produce is lovingly made to the exact specifications and preferences of the customer, from the beautiful grain of wood to the unique patterning of the resin.

Fusion Wood Creations consist of a father-son team, with over 30 years of carpentry and woodworking experience between them. Malcolm John Mayers has been expressing his creativity with woodworking since childhood, while Malcolm Snr has been engaged in carpentry and joinery for most of his working life.

We are dedicated to sustainability
Our unique placement in the Royal Forest of Dean opens all matter of doors for using local oaks, beeches and chestnuts, but we don't let this limit our customers. If you can name a species of tree or finish of wood, we will find a way to sustainably source it.

Frequently Asked Questions about our bespoke resin tables
What are river tables?
A river table is a style of hybrid furniture constructed out of wooden planks and epoxy. A typical river table consists of two planks (usually with a natural live edge to simulate the banks of a river) with epoxy resin poured in-between.
What is epoxy resin?
Epoxy resin is a two-part liquid and curing agent, which when combined turns into a solid material via a thermal reaction.
Is epoxy resin durable?
Epoxy resin is very durable and hard-wearing. It is a synthetic resin which offers higher thermal, chemical and mechanical resistances when compared to other resins. Due to this higher durability, it is perfect for the use in river tables and other furniture or art projects.
Is epoxy resin food safe?
Epoxy resins are generally inert once cured, but we only use epoxy resins that have been certified as food safe for our projects that we expect will be used around foods, like our bespoke resin tables.
How long will it take to make my item?
As each table is fully bespoke to the customer’s specification, this will vary for each individual item. Once our consultation is complete and your order has been confirmed, we will begin sourcing the materials for your project. We will be able to give you a more accurate timescale when we reach this stage, but we will typically be looking at a lead time of 10-12 weeks for larger items.
Can you deliver outside of the UK?
We don’t offer international shipping as standard, but this is something we can arrange if required. This would also be dependent on the size of the item as certain items will be large and heavy so we would need to assess the options to ensure safety and minimise the risk of damage to the item.

Yes – The best part of our job is that each piece of furniture is a one-of-a-kind art piece that represents the customer’s visions. We love the challenge of creating a one-off piece inspired by our customer’s ideas. Just tell us what you have in mind and we will work with you to make it a reality.
